Y'know this pic of what I thought was a scene for next week? The bright, clear shot of smoking hot Jared Padalecki. Looking likely it's a DELETED SCENE. That's right. Because with the ratings taking a hit so far this season, I would totally minimize the sexy awesomeness of their ridiculously gorgeous stars. Genius move. That's right up there with casting Genevieve Cortese as Ruby.
This show...
Anyway, here's a clip, since it was requested.

guys don't fret, they also showed clips the next week's episode (which takes place in the future where Jared is in the white suit) there is still a chance that clip may air.)
It's almost definitely a deleted scene. It will most likely make it to the DVD, but it sucks that we'll have to wait a year for the most clear skin scene for Jared (in this show) in YEARS.
SIGH.
I agree with your words, too, and thankfully Genevieve is not in the show anymore, although I'm not loving this season as much as I should.
I really hope Jared becomes a hit after this show and finally shows off that body of his. He's a great actor, too, and deserves it, imo. I know he was being considered for the "Conan" remake (Marcus Nispel, who directed Friday the 13th, is directing Conan) but I don't think he'll be able to manage it with his requirements for Supernatural (9 months filming out the year).
The ratings for Supernatural's last ep were only 2.62 mil (about 600k less than last season's average) so I agree, SHOW SOME SKIN, BOYS. And move on to sexier things after this show, please. :)
Guys, you are missing the big picture: Eric Kripke is a VISIONARY GENIUS who has a 5-season story arc set in his mind and by Lucifer he's going to do the show that way even if the only ones watching at the end are members of his immediate family. Never mind giving the viewers what they want to see; they'll take what Erik gives them and be grateful to bask in the warm glow of his ego. I've never seen a creator/producer so intent on killing off his own program.
I've always enjoyed the free-standing "episodic" shows much more than the ones that were related to his overall story arc. Those are the quirky humorous ones with the best lines, and if he had taken this approach the show would last for years. Just my opinion.
As for the ratings, Supernatural is on a suicidal night and time slot in TV. The Smallville fans complained about it getting moved but that may have been a good thing for the show's ratings
I think the good news about the scene itself is that if it is deleted at least it should be on DVD and it looks to be a clear shot and not obscured by some girl like last season. That pissed me off so much, LOL.
I agree with the consensus though: great show and I love it for what it is; they just need to get naked more. Maybe an episode should take place at a nudist colony or something? haha.
I hope we see it SOMEDAY (I'll be so happy if they manage to show it next week somehow).
I liked the angel arc (because I like that kinda stuff), but that last bit with Lucifer just didn't sit well with me. Frankly, I'm a little tired of the season long angst about something happening that they have to brood about all the time.
If you can spare any change, it would be greatly appreciated to keep up with site costs, due to demanding server resources and bandwidth usage. Any little bit helps!

^ I am ALL for having Dean and Sam wrestle out their differences naked in oil with Castiel being the referee. LOL
